Imperial Irrigation District (IID) has successfully implemented SAP to ESRI integration with GISConneX software
Dec 21th, 2011
GISConneX is now in production at IID for Asset management in their Electric Utility.
This integration will improve data quality, streamline business processes and enhance operational awareness.
GIS users at IID can now access and update assets in SAP with the GISConneX interface and SAP users now have a GIS map service available inside the SAP interface.
In 2005 IID started implementation, including a detailed field audit of the overhead and underground electrical system. IID currently embraces GIS to improve operations and the delivery of services from the office to the field.
IID is the third largest public power provider and one of five balancing authorities in the state of California. A water and power utility, IID serves electricity to more than 146,000 customers in Imperial County and parts of Riverside and San Diego counties. The district manages approximately 1,100 megawatts of energy derived from a diverse resource portfolio that includes hydro, nuclear, natural gas, biodiesel, oil and coal with plans to incorporate solar, biomass and geothermal energy sources. |
